HSJ Shortlists NHS Trust And MySense For Three Awards
We’re delighted to hear that our partner South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust has been shortlisted for three categories in the Health Service Journal Value Awards 2021.
The prestigious HSJ awards recognise teams and people who are ‘making things better in the NHS’ from across three category streams — Transformation, Clinical and Medical Services and Operational and Corporate Services.
SWFT’s awards submission entitled ‘Living Well At Home With Dementia Using AI’ resulted in the trust’s work with MySense being shortlisted for the categories: Digital Clinical Transformation, Pilot Project of the Year and Primary Care or Community Service Redesign Initiative.
HSJ editor Alastair McLellan said: ‘This year’s finalists have not only contributed to the continued fight against the covid-19 pandemic within the NHS but have also been exceptionally dedicated to enhancing healthcare across the UK.’
SWFT started implementing MySense in May last year and within a short period of time witnessed exceptional results including: 58% reduction in GP appointments, 80% reduction in hospital appointments, 53% reduction in 999 calls and 43% reduction in unnecessary visits from place based teams.
Glen Burley, Chief Executive at South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust said: ‘I am delighted that the Trust has been shortlisted in three award categories. The work our community team have done to improve our dementia service is incredible. Working alongside industry partners, MySense and SCC, has enabled us to transform patient care and I look forward to seeing how we can further embed technology to enhance services in the future.’
Olivia Harker, managing director of MySense UK, added: ‘To be shortlisted for one award would be an achievement but for three is really outstanding. I’m delighted for everyone at SWFT, our deployment partner SCC and the team here at MySense who have been working closely with them throughout.’
